Participation in recreational athletics provides students the ability to continue exercising their minds and bodies, while also competing with other students within the Georgetown community or inter-collegiately. Students are invited to engage in a wide range of athletic activities focused on both team and individual performance.
Students can choose to join one of over 30 Club Sports teams. Club sports give students an opportunity to play a sport competitively against teams from other institutions without the rigorous schedule expected of varsity athletes. Club sports organizations help students exercise the body, mind and spirit, as well as meet new people and develop themselves as part of a team.
The Intramural Sports program provides students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends an opportunity to compete in a recreational setting designed for fun and fitness. Intramural play fosters a sense of sportsmanship and an atmosphere of community. Winning is a goal but not an end.
