Club Volleyball (Men’s)
About Us
The Georgetown Men’s Club Volleyball team is a competitive club made up of approximately 30 to 35 members. They compete in the Eastern Collegiate Volleyball Association (ECVA) under the National Collegiate Volleyball Federation (NCVF). During the fall semester, the club typically hosts one to two tournaments and travels to two or three universities in the DMV area to compete. In the spring, they travel to multiple tournaments throughout the season, including nationals, which have been held in locations such as Kansas City, Missouri.
How to Join
Tryout sessions are held during the first few weeks of the fall semester. Undergraduate students interested in trying out must sign up at our booth during the Council of Advisory Boards (CAB) Fair. Tryouts are open to everyone, and club executive members will evaluate players before collectively determining club membership.
Time Commitment
Practices are held on campus twice per week for two hours each. Members are expected to attend at least one practice per week, as consistent participation helps improve individual performance, strengthen team chemistry, and prepare the club to compete at a high level.
Dues
Dues are $40 per semester per person, which covers tournament fees, transportation, lodging, and equipment.
Awards, Recognition, and Championships
Recent success has included a bid to the 2023 and 2024 NCVF Nationals Tournament in Kansas City and Phoenix, AZ.
