Advising
Professional advisors are available in the Center for Student Engagement to provide support to student organizations and student leaders. An advisor can help you Plan and implement innovative programming ideas, access and manage your budget, ensure compliance with university policies, and much more. Stop by our office in 316 Leavey to meet with your advisor.
WebCheckout and Other Supplies
CSE has limited equipment available for student events including but not limited to tables, wristbands, plates, cups, cutlery, cashboxes, a golf cart, and board games. You can reserve much of this equipment through our WebCheckout patron portal or by coming by our office in 316 Leavey. We also have some technology including speakers and mics, but refer to Gelardin New Media Center for high quality equipment needs.
CampusGroups
Georgetown is home to over 250 student organizations. All recognized student organizations are represented on CampusGroups, Georgetown’s hub for student organizations and events. Students are encouraged to explore CampusGroups, connect with student organizations, and learn about campus events through the calendar function.
Declining Balance Cards (DBCs)
DBCs are Georgetown owned debit cards that student leaders can be trained and authorized to use in order to make purchases for their organizations on or off campus. DBCs can be checked out from the Center for Student Engagement Monday to Fridays 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm, for one business day unless otherwise extended by an advisor. All purchases must be made in person and the card must be returned with an itemized receipt. All over the phone or online purchases must be made with your advisor’s ProCard – contact them to set up an appointment.
